Perry Crockett- Director
Perry began Aspiring Tennis Academy in 2005 after moving to Wanaka and discovering an awesome tennis club, with no coaching programme!
Perry started playing tennis when he was 9, then played as a top junior around Queensland. He began coaching in Vermont at 19 and it was also in Vermont that he started playing professionally on the ATP futures tour. He is USPTR and RPT qualified tennis coach and over the years he has coached players of all levels and owned tennis coaching businesses in London and NZ. Perry is an amazing tennis player and currently plays for Southern Lakes Senior Team. He is now also an accountant and a partner at Findex, so you'll only see him on the courts on Mondays, coaching development squads and adult classes. One of the best coaches you'll ever have!

Kirstie Crockett- Director
Kirstie joined Aspiring Tennis Academy in 2010 and now manages the programme, alongside coaching part-time.
She began playing tennis at the age of 9 and represented North Otago as a junior. She then trained as a Physiotherapist, before getting into tennis coaching. She is a USPTR qualified coach and also a Pilates Instructor, and has played for southern Lakes senior team. Kirstie worked at the Lead Coach on all our group classes prior to having children in 2014. You’ll now see her coaching Adult classes on Monday nights, taking daytime private lessons and filling in occasionally after school. Kirstie also manages the programme and looks after all our enquiries and bookings, so contact her if you have a question! She loves the challenge of improving tennis skills and is available for daytime private junior and adult beginner/improver level privates.

Amanda Trail - Head Coach
Amanda joined us in Wanaka in 2019 after moving here from Auckland, with her two massive dogs. She had her own Tennis Academy in St Helliers and also coached at the ASB tennis centre. Amanda started playing tennis at 10years old and subsequently won every junior NZ Nationals title she played (from 12s-18s). Amazing!! Amanda then went on to play on the WTA tour, gaining a singles ranking of around 460 and a doubles ranking of 265. After realising coaching was more for her than playing, Amanda started coaching at 18. She is Tennis NZ qualified coach and is now our Head Coach in Wanaka. She coaches all our junior classes, adult drop-in classes and Monday adult intermediate classes and private lessons. Call her to utilise her amazing experience and improve your game!
